    Baaaah! [Meme]
The problem with LJ: We all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about one another. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

    Endgame
So this past weekend, I ended up playing my first session as a PC, and man was it really a good time.

I really like that there is a wide array of different players that I wouldn't normally interact with, along with some old familiar faces. I was really lucky to get involved with a number of different plot lines, and they plot staff folks do a very good job of setting up a really immersive atmosphere.

A number of years ago, I participated in a larp that many of the staffers ran, and really its great to see what they can do with a gorgeous camp and 70 dedicated players.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the character I ended up making, and am looking forward to the next session (if I can get in off the wait list).

    My friends are fantastic....
Once a year, I have a gathering of friend on or around my birthday. This year, I was lucky enough to have 18 wonderful people make an appearance, and it was wonderful. Stories to be told, people to meet, some wonderful food, and some tasty drinks.

I really want to thank everyone present or away for all of your wonderful support. Really, I am blessed and thankful for everything that you have done.

Your result for The Golden Compass Daemon Test...

    Regal Soul

You love to be around people. Without them, you would wilt and fade away. Too much time alone leave you feeling listless and sad, but a good night out with your buddies puts the spring back into your step. You make friends easily, because you know how to adjust your behaviour for each person. With a rowdy, loud, social type of person you can be rowdy, and loud, and social. With a timid and mousy person you can be quiet and sensitive. While you have many friends and many faces, you have an inner circle of friends and family with whom you can truly be yourself.

You are a natural leader. You tend to be calm and rational, and it is rare that you get angry or upset. Often, when someone accidentally hurts your feelings, you will smile and pretend not to be bothered by it, because you want to project a positive, self confident image. You pick your battles. When someone does cross the line, they are often surprised at the sudden strength of your defensive attack. On the rare occasion that someone evokes anger or tears from you, it seems to them that this storm burst from clear blue skies.

Your daemon would represent your social, outgoing nature, your adaptable presence, and your tendency to hide your sensitive spots from strangers. He or she would help you mold yourself to every variety of social situation, being calm or playful or frightening as each situation demanded. When alone together, he or she would be someone whom you could share your real feelings with.

Suggested Forms: Lion, Orca, Chimpanzee, African Elephant, Goldfinch.

    Update stuff
Lets see, the Larp spring season is winding to a close, which Im actually greatful for. Im looking forward to hanging out with more people on the weekends, rather than scurrying trying to get stuff together for pcing or npcing a weekend.

    Madrigal -
I had a good event, and I was rather pleased with the things that I ran. Some of the other people put together some fantastic encounters. I was burnt following the weekend.

    The Monday after Madrigal -
Went to Red Sox game with Badgerrogue. We just happened to have been in attendance for the Jon Lester No-hitter. It was an amazing game, and fantastic atmosphere. I really can't beleive how incredible Fenway Park is for watching a ball game.

    Crazy week that followed -
Very little sleep, dropping Bakeneko off at the airport. Meetings and hanging out.

This past weekend was amazing -
Friday Night went out to dinner with a friend and some of her friends. Great food, good company, fun people. Also saw Indiana Jones, which was really the only bad part of the evening. Really Mr. Lucas, aren't you already tired of taking my childhood in a very uncomfortable position.

    Saturday was Volta-
Despite a slow start, it ended up being one heck of an event. I really love the staff, and we had some awesome people pitching in a hand. Both syllymidget and badgerrogue were awesome for helping out. Looking forward to running a bit more of my own stuff next time.

Sunday was a day of BBQ's
Sunday early afternoon started with hanging out with Jatrina, her boy Tempys, Cointeach, and Tashewolf. Drank beers, played alot of Rock Band, which was far too much fun. Later in the day got a call, and ended up going back to my friends place, hanging out with her and a friend of hers, and making Fajita's and Mojito's and wandering around a few parks in the Salem area. Beautiful night, good company, and watching Casablanca is always awesome.

    Monday - Better movie day
Ended up hanging out with Callierat, Wolfsongblue, and Gent. We went to get some food with the dietary restiction kids, and then went to go see Prince Caspian, which I liked.

    Great weekend, good times.

The other thing that is sort of awesome, is work is running a biggest looser contest for weight loss. I ended up loosing (according to the scale at work) nearly 40 pounds in 12 weeks, and man do I feel awesome.

This past weekend, and Eddie Izzard.
So this last weekend was the Calling.

The Calling is really a fun time. The players are really good, the encounters were challenging but fun. They still make the occasional new staff mistakes. I really enjoyed my time there. Additionally getting frenzy'd cutting down 6 town members and 4 bad guys before getting cut down was a hoot.

I ended up seeing Eddie Izzard last night. I had picked up the tickets months ago, and wow did he not disappoint. His new act is hilarious, and its all about civilization, with a good healthy dose of religion stuff tossed in. I was lucky enough to be accompanied by Bakeneko, and man it was really fun time. If anyone has a chance to go see the new tour, I would highly suggest it.

Hey folks I was thinking about putting together a group to go to Fire and Ice, and I was wondering what day would be better for folks?

Sunday, March 16th or Sunday March 23rd?

Well I guess I should also add Saturday, March 22nd, since the 23rd is Easter.

    Aralis Weekend
I had a good time overall.

First of all, my team is alot of fun to play with, they are a great group of people to run around with. Its really fun to get a chance to pc with a group that I normally don't run around with.

Additionally, the fighting that I was involved with, for the most part, was really clean. Few iffy moments, but really good.

The weather, all told, wasn't actually half as bad as it could have been. The camp had a remarkable ability to absorb water into the ground. Two hours after it stopped raining there were just a few standing puddles.

Only real complaint had to deal with the new shield rules. I really dislike the change, and was rather disheartened when as it seemed that I was one of the few people following the new rules. Most of the other people using the "heater" shape, had shields that were 4" to 5" longer than mine, which was almost max length. Additionally, a number of people were using shields that didn't conform to the rules at all. I really felt like I was one of two people who bothered to remake there shield at all.

The weekend seemed to be a rehash and continuation from the one day, with a few extra bits thrown in. This really wasn't a really big deal, as most of my enjoyment comes from interpersonal roleplay between the members of the company, and other people in town. Some of which was pretty intense.

This weekend also left my character in charge, which in itself was alot of fun, but a bit challenging. Both Phoenix and Gray were having a contest to see who could be the ambassador of good will towards other members of the town.

    Some days....
Things have been good and crazy. Work is good and looking up and up.

    And for today's quote
" What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?"
